Our History

Shane Jackson Racing may be a young stable, but its rise has been swift.

After retiring from the saddle, Shane obtained his trainer’s licence in 2022. Working with no more than two horses at a time, he trained his first winner in 2023. The real turning point came in September 2024, when Shane opened his own stable in Warrnambool with the support of his wife Lauren and their young family.

His first official season as a public trainer was nothing short of remarkable: 26 winners, a 22% strike rate, and a further 32 placegetters from 118 runners. Along the way came a string of milestones — the stable’s first metropolitan winner, first feature jumps winner (which he quinellaed), multiple Country Cups, and the thrill of a first treble.

From humble beginnings to building an expanding operation, Shane Jackson Racing is truly a family-run stable. With Shane’s hands-on involvement in every horse, Lauren’s support behind the scenes, and their three boys growing up around the yard, it is a team effort that has already delivered results well beyond its size — and the future is only getting brighter.
